What the role involves

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and developers to assist in digital product visuals and experience.
  • Spend time understanding our customers, both new and potential, to be able to generate customer centric designs.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and other design research methods to understand user needs and quantify the value of your solutions.
  • Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to developers.
  • Be able to create customer journey maps highlighting pain points for customers and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with external developers where appropriate to present ideas
  • Co-ordinate feedback from subject matter experts to improve designs whilst keeping to best practice guidelines.

  • Testing UI elements such as CTAs, banners, page layouts, page designs, page flows, and target links for landing pages.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Familiarity with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and InVision.
  • Strong knowledge of design principles and user-centred design methodologies.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Awareness of accessibility standards and how to design for all user groups.
  • Previous experience of creating wireframes, user flows and site maps.
  • Experience with using A/B platforms to optimise the layout and designs of pages.
  • Experience of working across agile projects.
  • Experience in conducting user research and usability testing.
  • A positive ‘can do’ attitude, highly organised and able to respond quickly to changing priorities.

What the role involves

Supporting the Digital Transformation team across the multiple workstreams that are worked across ensuring we are embedding a customer centric approach across our digital systems.

  • Become an integral part of the Digital Product team in providing insights into user behaviour across key journeys across our website(s) so these insights can be embedded into future designs and developments.
  • Create, develop and analyse dashboards using user behaviour products such as Google Analytics and Hotjar which can be shared with key stakeholders to support with decision making and a better understanding across user needs/wants and desires.
  • Configure Google Tag Manager (GTM) as required to support with gaining further insights and use of new tools.
  • Implement tracking across journeys and identify what channels customers are coming from are dropping off or ending their journey.
  • Embed A/B testing tools across key website(s) and showcases the benefits of this to wider stakeholders.
  • Working with wider subject matter experts in updating customer journey maps utilising the data insights to make sure they are up to date and accurate.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Previous experience of working in a Digital Analyst/Web Analytics role.
  • Hands on experience of working across multiple projects and working to tight deadlines.
  • To be able to work across multiple projects at one time with tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of CMS and CRM systems such as Umbraco and/or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Strong experience of using Google Analytics UA/4, Hotjar and/or Microsoft Customer Insights or similar.
  • Working knowledge of Google Data Studio and being able to present findings in the most user-friendly way.
  • Knowledge and hands on experience configuring and using Google Tag Manager.

The purpose of this role is to lead on writing test scripts and conducting tests before new technology and software is released to ensure it runs smoothly and meets customer needs. The role will be accountable for finding and reporting bugs and glitches in the systems.

What the role involves

  • Acting as an integral part of the Digital Product team, working closely with the wider department and project teams to deliver high quality digital products and services.
  • Represent the end-user and ensure the software meets their needs in terms of functionality, performance, usability, and reliability.
  • Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases based on product requirements.
  • Design, develop, and execute automation scripts when needed.
  • Track quality assurance metrics and provide regular updates to the Digital Product Manager.
  • Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Previous experience of working as a QA Tester.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Familiarity with different types of testing (Functional, Regression, Integration, Performance, Usability, Security etc.).
  • Experience with automated testing tools.
  • Ability to write detailed, clear, and concise bug reports, documentation, and communication emails.
  • Previously experience of working on projects using agile methodologies.
  • A positive ‘can do’ attitude, highly organised and able to respond quickly to changing priorities.
  • Experience using systems such as Microsoft Dynamics and Umbraco.

We are looking for an experienced QA Tester who has a good understanding of the software developing lifecycle and quality assurance methodologies. The ideal candidate would also need to stay up to date with the latest testing tools and strategies and have strong communication skills.

The purpose of the role

The purpose of this role is working with Kennel Club committees and representatives in their field to improve and enhance competitions through the observance of Kennel Club regulations for a wide variety of activities such as agility, obedience, working
trials, rally, and heelwork to music.

What the role involves

  • To provide secretarial and administrative support for Kennel Club Committees, Liaison Councils and Working Parties, in particular the Agility and Working Trials Liaison Council.
  • To manage the selection and approval process of Committee, Liaison Council and Working Party members as detailed in Kennel Club Regulations.
  • To process Championship Agility, Obedience and Working Trials Judge nominations and proposed Championship Judge Questionnaires and Assessments.
  • To provide secretarial and administrative support to the Manager and Head of Canine Activities.
  • To update and maintain the dog agility measuring database and measurers information, manage the re-accreditation process of measurers and resolve any measuring queries.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Strong IT skills in Outlook, Excel, Word and databases.
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Experience of working in an industry governed by regulations and Committee
    structures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills including troubleshooting.
  • Commitment to delivering high standards of customer care.
  • Experience with collating statistics and summarising results.


We are looking for an experienced administrator who has a good eye for detail and previous experience of working in an administrative role within a busy office. An enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with proven organisation skills who can work
well in a team but also able to work on your own initiative. Knowledge of the competitive canine world would be advantageous, as would experience of committee work.
The successful candidate may be required to attend our events which may include travel and overnight stays some of which will be at weekends if required.

What the role involves

Supporting the marketing team in their daily operations, from responding to
inbound requests for collateral to assisting in campaigns centred around

  • Supporting the Senior social media Officer in the management of our channels.

The ideal candidate will

  • Have relevant qualifications such as Media, Design, Marketing, or Business Studies.
  • Have demonstrable skills in Martech, including Google Suite and Hootsuite.
  • Have experience in general marketing operations.
  • Attend events and support in posting content.
  • Be proactive, detail oriented, and have attention to detail.
  • Assist the marketing team in the creation of assets where possible.
  • Be prepared for occasional conduction of presentations.
  • Curate social posts for closed member groups on request.
  • Provide general support at events.
  • Perform ad-hoc marketing tasks, coordinating events, tracking budget and report collation.

The ideal candidate should be collaborative and able to build rapports with an action orientation mindset and appetite to find solutions. The ideal candidate would have some experience in marketing and is looking to build on their foundation as part of an engaged and talented team. You will be responsible for handling a high volume of inbound and outbound enquires within the call centre. Your role within the team will be to ensure that our customers have all the information they require and that they feel valued. 

The ideal candidate will have

  • Experience of working within a call-centre environment, inbound and outbound calls.
  • Ability to link and promote products.
  • Experience of supporting customers using web-related services.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under pressure and work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work with KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Experience with Microsoft packages and web-based systems (including web chat and CRM systems).
  • Ability to effectively resolve conflicts and complaints.

We are looking for a Client Services Advisor who has excellent time management, organisational skills, alongside the desire to assist the department to grow.  You will need to be reliable and flexible with a can-do attitude and be respectful when dealing with internal and external customers. To excel in this role, you will have the ability to work alongside other team members and take ownership for the tasks you are given.

An interest and knowledge in the canine world would be useful but not essential as full product training will be given.

In Autumn 2022, we developed a new strategic direction as we aspire to be here for
another 150 years. We are now beginning to implement the strategy, including
designing, and in due course delivering, a complex set of interrelated change
projects and programmes.

What The Role Involves

We are looking for a Project Support Officer who will work as part of the Strategy & Implementation team to play a key role in delivering some of The Kennel Club’s most transformative projects. With a new strategy in place, you will be joining the organisation at a time of significant change and innovation. Over 33% of UK households own a dog and the demand for The Kennel Club’s services has never been greater. To meet this increased demand and be able to be agile in responding to the market needs and opportunities, the organisation is looking to transform how we work and the impact that we have.
As a Project Support Officer, you will provide a vital link across projects to ensure delivery to time, cost and quality. This role will provide an excellent development opportunity to the right candidate to be involved at all levels in an ambitious programme of transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Take a lead role in the administration of the Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring that all information, documentation, and data is kept up to date and shared appropriately.
  • Maintain the Programme Dashboard through collating and ensuring the accuracy of progress reporting from Project Managers, including supporting benefits tracking.
  • Support the Strategy Implementation Manager in conducting regular corporate performance reviews, KPI dashboard reporting and tracking BAU activities.
  • Provide administrative services to the Transformation Steering Group, Project Boards, and Project team meetings ensuring effective and timely distribution of papers and actions.
  • Monitor actions from Boards and team meetings to ensure their completion.
  • Produce and promote communications, including progress of projects and
    working with the Internal Communications function.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Experience in supporting complex and complicated projects involving people, systems and process.
  • Experience in supporting project managers and sponsors to ensure effective delivery and reporting.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, the ability to build relationships and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • An organised approach to supporting projects, that keeps people at the heart of the change.
  • A positive approach to projects with a growth mindset and a proactive attitude to identifying issues and recommending solutions.

What the role involves

  • The accurate delivery of all online and paper-based services and products including the compilation of external emails and general correspondence relating to Registration services.
  • Joint Management of dispute/breeding and welfare matters in conjunction with the Health & Breeder Services Team.
  • The effective handling of all inbound and outbound calls received via Customer Services Centre and accurate capture of data.
  • To promote relevant services and advise customers to make an informed decision.
  • To ensure that our customers have all relevant information they require receiving the highest level of customer service.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Experience of inbound and outbound calls
  • Ability to link and promote products
  • Experience of supporting customers using web related services
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work under pressure and work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work with Key Performance Indicators
  • Experience with Microsoft packages and web – based systems (including CRM systems)
  • Ability to effectively resolve conflicts and complaints

We are looking for a Client Services Advisor who has excellent time management and organisational skills, alongside the desire to assist the department to grow moving forward. You will need to be reliable and flexible with a can-do attitude and be respectful when dealing with internal and external customers. To excel in this role, you will have the ability to work alongside other members of the team and take ownership for the tasks you are given.

An interest and knowledge in the canine world would be useful but not essential as full product training will be given.
